Sitting at a wooden table. An elderly man shuffled the deck, "You ready?" he asked the youth. The child nodded. Finishing his shuffle, the man placed the deck of cards in the center of the scarred table, "Your cut."

The youthful hand replaced the ages, as part of the deck was removed, and placed aside. Nodding in acceptance, the elder grasped the remaining cards to be placed atop those removed, "Remember what I taught you," the elder one said, "Don't miss a trick."

With a grin of anticipation, the child nodded, as the teacher began to deal.
